Sweet Romance

Today I was inspired by yet another wedding dress. The bride is stunning, with simple make-up and her hair in a beautiful braided bun almost ballerina-like. The delicate lace keeps the dress conservative but shows off her shoulders making it an absolutely stunning gown. When I see this picture romance. I see pale pinks and pale purples, delicate flowers to match the delicate lace. Nothing too over the top, just something simple and beautiful like that dress.  So this is my romance inspiration board. The escort cards are old vintage keys with guest names and table numbers tied to them, implying that guests have the key to opening and unlocking the beauty of the marriage that has happened early in the day.  The bridal bouquet is white and pale pink, with beautiful pink peonies adding just the right amount of color so as not to detract from the simple beauty of the dress. The flower girls wear matching princess type dresses with flower ball bouquets with similar shades of white and pink as the bride. The bride walks down an isle of pale pink role petals and the rustic romantic chairs are simply decorated with complimentary pink flowers. The bridesmaids have pale purple dresses on all with sweetheart cuts. The pale purple keeps the wedding from becoming too pink and adds a subtle contrast to the color scheme. At the reception, the centerpieces are simple and not over thought. Three cylindrical candle holders wrapped in lace that matches the bride's gowns are lit on the table with a simple pale pink flower to add a necessary splash of romance and color. The cake is also simple, all white, with touches of pale pink or purple and flowers from the bridal bouquet decorate it.  The wedding is beautiful and simple. It is sweet. It's picture perfect :)
